Langhorne Slim & Chambao

LANGHORNE SLIM

Langhorne Slim is a young folk singer, born Sean Scolnick on August 20th, 1980, based out of Brooklyn, New York. Originally hailing from Langhorne, Pennsylvania, he graduated from the Conservatory of Music at Purchase College. His music is said to, “conjure images of many other neo-folk singers, but there's soul, fire, and warmth in his recordings”. Langhorne Slim's band the War Eagles consists of Paul Defiglia on bass and Malachi DeLorenzo on drums. In an interview Slim stated, “If folk music means music for the people, then that’s what I would like to be as naturally or unnaturally as that may occur. I wanna make peoples’ heads explode with good feelings. I would like to move people and be moved. “

CHAMBAO

Chambao is a flamenco-electronic band originally from Málaga, Andalusia, Spain, known for a Flamenco Chill sound that fuses flamenco sounds and palos with electronic music. The name of the band is taken from an improvised form of beach tent that is constructed as a means of sheltering from the wind and sun. Some refer to their recordings as chill out music. This is an electronic style of music but it is slow and does not try to create a trance like rhythm. Discovered by the Dutch musician Henrik Takkenberg, they started as a trio of Málaga musicians, María del Mar, Eduardo and Dani (who left the band in 2005) have released two albums of their own.
